the view from our deck...
today started out perfect—overcast, very gray, with the anticipation of snow lingering in the (very dry) air. started with a run, which was good, by the art center and into greenwood park and back. we were planning to leave for mpls today after school/work, but the snow started falling at noon and now, at 5:15 pm, it still hasn't let up. it's really pretty though. it's making me inspired to do some journal/collage entries tonight. we'll leave for mpls in the morning. can't wait for the long weekend with friends and in a city that's so creative and inspiring.
here's what's on our list o activities:
crafty planet--really awesomely hip crafter store in NW mpls
rustica/java jacks--they make cappucinos with pretty heart patterns on top (perfect for v-day)
brasa--great restaurant that serves smoked meats and cold beers (and yummy grits)
downhill skiing--we haven't settled on where this will be yet
common good books--garrison keillor's bookstore in st. paul. awesomeness
the gnome for beers--great bar that our friend likes. a. lot. also in st. paul (near the bookstore)
bryant lake bowl--for breakfast one morning. great bison hash and bowling
trader joe's--probably on the way out of town to stock up
legoland--for the jedi who is about to pee his pants because he can't wait to get there
thought this might be of interest to the legofanatics
