| So my mom made this when she was in high school. She remembers seeing it in a 1960s catalog, maybe from MOMA, but we've not ever found it. It's made of felt pieces glued onto separate cardboard rounds that stack like a cake. My grandfather rigged it so it rotated slowly (but that part doesn't work anymore). Would love to find the original inspiration. |

ReplyDeleteMy uncle made 7 of them, one for each of his siblings & himself, around 1965.
He said that it was something he saw in a San Francisco Museum of Art publication.
